Avi has three Masters’ degrees from the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics. He is an experienced data sciences expert with 11 years in data science research and data science products. He has built data science systems in banking and financial services as well as several other industries such as retail, advertising, automotive and manufacturing. He was a leader in McKinsey’s Advanced Analytics practice, working with companies in the US, UK and Asia. He has also served as Vice-President of InMobi’s Data Sciences and Machine Learning teams.

After graduating from Princeton, Petko built his career in financial services with McKinsey&Co and Resolution Capital. Petko is a serial entrepreneur and an expert in Banking and Financial services. He has built and launched Financial Technology products in the USA and Europe. In 2012 before Bright, Petko had built and launched a consumer lending company which helped thousands of daily commuters in Europe lower their costs and realize substantial savings.

Alex is a consumer product builder with a decade of experience building consumer tech for American consumers. He has frontline experience building product and growth teams for major consumer products, when he worked at Amazon and Yahoo! As a senior product manager, he led a team at Amazon and spearheaded Product Growth, serving 55 million subscribers. Previously, he kick-started Yahoo’s Mail Growth team, serving 300 million active users.
Avi, Varun, Amit and Avinash together laid the foundation of data sciences for Bright. They brought together Avi's knowledge of financial products, Varun's proficiency with building AI engineering, Avinash's experience with scaling big data consumer tech and Amit's expertise as a professional data scientist.

Varun is a Computer Science graduate from I.I.T Kanpur. He is a highly experienced A.I. engineer and data scientist, with a decade of experience. He was with InMobi for 7 years where he played leading roles in building the Wadogo marketplace, Performance marketing prediction systems, Creative analysis systems, Recommendation systems and Time-series systems. Varun is passionate about applying data sciences and A.I. to solve real business problems. He is an active teacher and speaker for young engineers and data scientists.
Amit is a Computer Science graduate from I.I.T Kanpur. He is a highly experienced data science system builder. He was with InMobi for 7 years where he played leading roles in performance marketing, survey fraud detection, marketplace matching systems and content personalisation. He achieved 2 patent filings for his data science innovation at InMobi and published 5 research papers overall. At Bright, he leads the Data Science and Analytics teams. He is the lead inventor of the Bright Debt Manager system that has been filed for a patent in the US and India.

Avinash is an Engineering graduate from IISc and BITS-Pilani. He is an experienced engineer and big data architect. He was with InMobi for 5 years where he played leading roles in designing Big Data user management systems. At Bright, he leads the architecture and implementation for Bright’s payment systems, the Bright banking system, and Bright’s in-house Growth Science platform.
